Abstract:

Air conditioning systems are used in industries and residential environments with the aim of improving environmental conditions and creating a comfortable temperature for users. Considering the production of sound and vibration in most of its components, the lack of control of the production sound level always exposes the users to unwanted sound, which in addition to hearing complications, also causes fatigue and dissatisfaction with the environmental conditions. . Compressors are one of the most important sources of sound production in air conditioning systems, and screw compressors are one of the most widely used in air conditioning industries. Therefore, the compressor shell should be designed to minimize the transmission of sound from inside to outside. Since the maximum working temperature of compressors is up to 80 degrees Celsius, therefore, in this research, an acoustic test was performed on a sample of a screw compressor shell in two modes of ambient temperature and maximum working temperature inside the acoustic room, and the effect of temperature increase on the sound pressure level. transferred from the shell to the external environment is discussed. Finally, based on the frequency analysis performed in two conditions of ambient temperature and maximum working temperature and comparing the amount of sound transmitted to the environment at different frequencies, practical solutions to reduce the amount of transmitted sound pressure have been presented.

Abstract:

The Lalezar igneous complex is located on the border of the Sanandaj-Sirjan zone and the southeastern parts of the Urmia-Dakhtar volcanic arc and in the northeast of Baft city in Kerman Province. In the northwestern and western boundaries of the intrusive body, there are relatively wide contact metamorphic carbonate rocks. In the southern part of Hararan, the Lalezar igneous body with the Oligo-Miocene limestone and marl complex (equivalent to the Qom Formation), as large contact with metamorphism halo (skarn and marble parts), is the most widespread. Based on microscopic studies, garnet, calcite, wollastonite, pyroxene, olivine, idocrase, and epidote minerals are formed in skarns. Different metamorphic zones including garnet-clinopyroxene, olivine-clinopyroxene, wollastonite-garnet, and garnet-epidote have appeared. Based on the geochemical analysis of the minerals (EPMA), the garnets contain more than 70% grossular (calcium-rich garnet) and less than 30% almandine (iron-rich garnet). The composition of clinopyroxenes belongs to the first group (calcium-iron and magnesium) and of the wollastonite-enstatite type, where the amount of wollastonite is more than 50%. Also, there is less than 10% ferrosilite in the composition of these clinopyroxenes. Based on the garnet-clinopyroxene temperature-pressure measurement, the temperature of skarn formation, based on various equations presented, is between 413 and 530 degrees Celsius and the pressure is 1. 5 to 2. 5 kbar. The existing paragenesis as well as thermodynamic conditions indicate oxygen fugacity greater than 0. 2. This phenomenon indicates the activity of fluids rich in silicate-rich solutions in the formation of these skarns.

Abstract:

Introduction: Monitoring of patients' temperature is an important clinical nursing task. Proper treatment of patients is possible by controlling the body temperature accurately. Body temperature is usually taken at different sites like rectum, month, axillaries and tympanic. Rectal temperature measurement as a less invasive method has been used for a long time. This study was untaken to compare two methods of tympanic and rectal temperature measurement. Methods: A comparative study design was used to recruit a convenient sample of 336 patients in study. They ranged in age from 16 to 85. The tympanic temperatures were measured using the Braun Thermo Scan type 6020 and the rectal temperatures were measured by Samsung digital. The measurement accuracy of both thermometers was 0.1oC, according to those manufactures. Collected data were inserted to SPSS and Medcalc sofwares and analyzed through descriptive statistics, paired t-test, Pearson coefficient, Bland-Altman's analysis, sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive values. P-value less than 0.05 considered significant. Results: Using Paired t-test, it was revealed that tympanic and rectal mean temperatures were significantly different (P<0.0001). The Bland-Altman analysis demonstrated that the mean rectal temperatures were 0.23oC more than the mean of tympanic temperatures, with ranges of agreement between -0.98oC to 0.51oC for right tympanic temperatures and the limits of agreement between -0.88oC to 0.41oC for left tympanic temperatures. There was also high correlation between right (r=0.88) and left (r=0.89) tympanic temperatures (P<0.0001). Conclusion: Despite high correlation between rectal and tympanic temperature, their differences were significant both statistically and clinically. It could be concluded that tympanic temperature can't reflect the rectal temperature with high agreement. Based on the study’s result, tympanic method couldn’t be an excellent alternative for rectal method. However, each of them has special performances, advantages and disadvantages in clinical practice.

Abstract:

Pressure vessel is a container used to store fluids under pressure and temperature. The fluids can be air, water, chemicals, fuel, gases etc. are most commonly used in food and chemical industries, oil refineries and so on. Pressure vessel is subjected to thermal and structural loads for power plant applications. Since the pressure vessel are subjected to both structural and thermal loads stresses, the design of pressure vessel was done using standard code and design methods. In this paper a design methodology is developed for pressure vessel used in Coker Blow-down application based on ASME Section VIII, Division 1 design code. The design methodology has been developed and the same is verified with numerical method so that it will not fail in case of variable pressure and temperature condition. The modelling has been done using SolidWorks-2015 and analysis is done using ANSYS.

Abstract:

Water loss has been changed into a global concern in recent decades [1]. Since water demand has been increased, it is necessary to manage its consumption patterns to overcome this problem. The most important part of managing water consumption, is to decrease the water loss. In this paper a new idea has been presented to detect the leakage location and its quantity in a water distribution network, using nodal pressures analyzes in two cases of with and without leakage discharges. The results have shown that this method not only can determine the location of leaky node, but also the leakage quantity, by using nodal pressure data.

Abstract:

The aim of this work was to establish the basic characteristics of a relatively new type of two beam interferometer and to adapt this device to the measurement of Doppler temperature in the upper atmosphere. The emissions which would be obvious candidates for an investigation of these temperatures are the (OI)21 red line and the (OI)32 green line at l 6300 and 5577°A espectiveety Nightglow measurements from Mt.Sinhgah, pune (lat.18° N,long.73° E), with WAMI two-beam interferometer, the apparent intensity in the zenith was normally in the range of 900-300R and corresponding the Doppler temperature of 100-600K° K.
